Do you love Wayne State University and want to share your experience with prospective students and families? The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is looking for student ambassadors passionate about helping students learn about Wayne State to lead on-campus tours for individual families or small groups.
Wayne State University Ambassadors promote and personalize WSU for prospective students, their families, and other guests on campus tours. Through these guided tours of campus, Ambassadors share their WSU story and experiences, educate visitors about academic and campus life, as well as their favorite traditions and highlights. Volunteering as an Ambassador allows you to leave a first and lasting impression of WSU on visitors.
Ambassadors are expected to lead or co-lead at least 1 tour per week (~ 2 hours per week) through the Spring/Summer 2021 and/or Fall 2021 semesters. Tours primarily occur between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and occasionally on Saturdays.
A willingness to share your Wayne State story and passion is the most important part of the tour experience. Our campus visit team will make sure you’re provided training about Wayne State University programs, the application and admission process, and answering FAQs. You’ll also have a chance to shadow tours and hear from our current tour guides!
